One bolt im missing from the top position on a 1991 4.0 a4ld bell-housing and iv crawled the web looking and its not there.
Its one of two shortest bolts with a fatter top half missing from the top of a Ranger v6 a4ld tranny. Iv looked every were for days .. I figured it would or should be common by now. Tellin me From the dealer is it? It looks like a critical part because its flanged out so big at top half i would imagine to keep bell secure being the holes in top two bell are larger than the rest..

Front seal seal gushed with 60k junk yard trany. in fear bell is shifting around on block.
{ didnt know to replace front seal first from the start-101,}

pS::with pan off, how much of the fluid can i get out of it standing it up on ends? I watched the 6qrts of Valvoline mercon v flow out on to the ground out of front seal on first attempt but i didn't change filter b4 hand. I read 9 quarts it holds total.

I got filter now and i wanna get as much fluid out as i can..

should i re-fill tv after i dump out current contents? or will pup refill it?

I put in Valvoline mercon V in it before front seal leak,,but i keep seeing "for Vin X use theCastrol Dextron,, any thoughts?

And iv got another question pertaining to the rear main oil seal and a sleeve kit along with a crank shaft-spacer question. but we, save that one encase after.

Read here: http://www.therangerstation.com/tech_library/a4ld.shtml

Especially the last paragraph.

Bolts are metric
The Dowels keep bell housing from shifting not the bolts, they are tight but not that tight in the holes.

So just match the length and threads of the shorter bolt and you will be fine
