Who can tell me what this is? It’s leaking transmission fluid and I don’t know what it is to replace it.

I'd like to say it's the fuel pressure regulator and the red fluid is power steering fluid that squirted over there when you cycled the steering wheel with the engine off. But I don't have a 4.0l with auto transmission. So I'm not 100% sure.

Yes, power steering fluid, and not from inside the device its on
And not from transmission for sure

Could be the EGR valve in picture, pretty sure its not the FPR(fuel pressure regulator), that should be on passenger side in 1990-1997 Ranger 4.0l

You can see in your picture that the power steering cap also has some pooled fluid
You could have a pressure leak in one of the pumps hoses, looks like some of the other hoses/parts in the picture have an "oily" coating as well

I forgot about egr valve.

Looks about the right spot for the EGR on a 4.0 too.

Note that the ATF is puddled on the power steering reservoir cap near the vent in the cap, which happens to be close to where everything else has gotten wetted with oil.

Without more angles of the part in question, I'm inclined to agree that is the EGR.
