Howdy. I bought some axle drop brackets for my ranger off of a person on TRS. Well I installed the brackets and everything looks great. I went to throw out the box that they came in and found these 2 parts in the box also. Can anybody tell me what they are and what they are used for?

Rancho lift kit.

Brace that goes under the frame and supports the rear bracket (passenger beam)

Part of it you can see here.

so should I add that on there? I only did a 2" leveling coil BUT it raised my truck since its a 4cyl. a little more than 2" and the camber was outragious. Now the tires look great and will look damn near perfect after a alignment. So do I need to add this part or what? If I do what are the benifits, if I dont what happens...?

If you look closely that is actually a bent bracket, you may want to add it.

Didn't really help much in that case though... (bracket is actually broken)

Mine had cracks in it when I took it off after two years use.

I would beef up the bracket itself instead (box it up so it's all solid, and double up it's flange thickness). Those Rancho kits were never known for their strength or durability.

well I dont have the pic but one again here is the link I sent you in case you lost it. That crossmember just bolts to either side of the frame though. In front of the tranny crossmember

anyone else every wonder why they say this

WARNING: THIS KIT IS NOT TO BE INSTALLED ON BRONCO II VEHICLES!!

when all the parts are 100% identical....

Paranoia.

One of Rancho's lawyers probably told them to put that there :no2:

Because Bronco II's are so bad ass that they just break the parts:icon_thumby:, huh Junkie?

I think he knows all too well, He's busted some superlift stuff too.....Hmm.....

My guess is they put it there after hearing about a news media report about "tippy" Bronco IIs, when infact they're hardly any different than many other vehicles being sold at the time (probably still had the Suzuki Samurai fiasco on their minds from a year before, and were looking for something to fill up some more airtime  ).

Yeah, Stuperlift didn't fare any better for me. Too many TTB lifts out there leave way too much to be desired :no2:

3rd time seemed to be the charm though (Skyjacker), at least putting an end to breakage problems, just the coils are a bit stiff (still better than most though).
