what is this? do i need it? I am trying to put my dash back in but this is holding me up. it goes in a 88 b2 with power every thing.

Almost looks like a Ranger 4x4 shift module, not sure what the B2 would look like or where it would be;

That is the "Brain box" for the cruise control.

It should be mounted up under the lower lip of the dash near the center line of the vehicle
