What I am refering to is the the raised funnel type of thing, it sits in between the oil filler cap and the valve cover on my 93 3.0L. It has a hose running from it to the air intake. The part where the hose connects is broken clean off, I just noticed when changing the oil. So what is that piece called? Will allowing air into my engine through this hole wreck anything? Any ideas on where I can get a replacement piece?

Without a pic it sounds like the breather assy. If so it wont hurt in the short term but it will let dust into the engine yea you want to get it fixed. +1 on the bone yard for at least their minimum charge.

you may need to get the whole valve cover on that side as i dont remember being able to remove the filler neck from it when i was cleaning mine during the rebuild.

Ok yea, filler neck sounds right. My next question was gonna be is there a way to remove it? Anyone else tried taking it off before?
