It is located on the driver side fender well and on my truck is left open. My truck is bare bones, no cc or power to the doors. It looks to be a power connector with a green wire with a yellow stripe and a black ground. I have the cc stuff in a box in the garage and was wondering if this is power to that system. It's on the inner side of the diagnostic connector

connector for underhood light

It goes to your kanooder valve.

Are you guys sure it's not power to the flux capacitor? My truck is kinda shaky around 87-88 mph I figured that had come unplugged

Idk it looks a lot like a muffler bearing position sensor (MBPS) connector

Oh, now I remember where I saw that... I had to move that doohikimabobber out of my way when I was changing my headlight fluid, which is standard procedure after operating on my blinker tie rod.

I'm not a newb. I have been here for a few years. I honestly just had no clue what it was for as I don't have an under hood light on the truck so it's just an open connector. I expected the smart ass comments though

Or!!!! It might possibly be the plug for the back seat warmer that was standard in the trucks for So-Cal!

:icon_confused: Who said you were a Newb? I stated that I had the same problem when I (ME) first came here. Did you even click on the thread I posted? :icon_idea:

lt gr /yellow is for the cruse control

Is this in the engine compartment? on top of the LH splash panel?

My '91 2.3L has no options at all, it has a number of unused connectors, several on top of the LH splash panel, and one or two with dummy or jumper plugs installed in them. It always gives me a Power Steering pressure switch code because there is no PS and thus no switch, the plug is open, so I get a code.

Its for some option you do not have. Spend some time with the wiring diagrams and you will figure it out.
