Do you have a light on the bottom of the hood that comes on when you open the hood?

Could have been a coolant level sensor too, dunno if they had them on the 97's?

No lights come on when I lift the hood. If this a bulb socket for underhood lighting, I'll assume it was removed when burned out or broken by the previous owner and never replaced.

Anyone able to confirm?

Harness is probably the same whether your truck got the optional light or not. I know mine is.

But for some reason I was thinking firewall (darn little pic on phone) It might be something else that far ahead on the passenger fender.

Secret government tracking module, tracks your every move/location.
Previous owner got smart and removed it.

I think it has something to do with the blinker fluid. Maybe for a sensor that tells you when your fluid level is low.

Oh, if that's all, then I think I'm set since I have an expensive one I bought for myself in my pocket at all times. The OEM ones built into the vehicles are hard to replace. At least this one I can make phone calls with!
