Quick question, What is this part called, the little molding on the bottom of the window? Mine flew off apparently and I need to get another one before moisture gets in there and starts to rust the door, what do you call this part?

LMC truck has them but if you see a decent one at the junkyard that would work. not sure about installing it. on my 86 they are pretty easy to get off and then on

not finding it, shoot, wouldnt it be weatherstripping?

It's a belt moulding, but yeah ford calls it a weatherstrip, just like every other weatherstrip on the car.:icon_twisted:

You'll need to look at the door sticker to see what month your truck was manufactured.

Dunno about the '98, but on my '85 you have to take the window out to get the scraper off without mangling it. Even wound down all the way the glass still protrudes a small amount, pushing the scraper into the door.

I tried to remove them from my '86 parts truck... they didn't survive. I asked a bodyshop how to do it after the fact and it made sense.

wait, so which one is for which year?

The part # from LMC is 50-7577 for 93-5/99, or 50-7579 for 5/99-05.

It's a simple process really, first look at your driver side door, second look see when your truck was manufactured, third decide which part # you need. If your year falls between 1993 through May of 1999 you need part # 50-7577. If your manufacture date falls between May of 1999 through 2005 then you need part # 50-7579. :icon_thumby:
