I just bought this truck a month or so ago and its great, i just have a couple of questions:

What is this thing and what does it do? Also should i add more fluid?

I have searched through my guide book and still cant find out what this thing is.

here are the pics:

It says "Fill to step with DOT 3 Brake Fluid"

I've outlined where the fluid level is and where i think the "step" is (i don't really know if it is the "step" or not)

It's called a "clutch fluid reservoir." It holds DOT 3 brake fluid and the clutch is operated by hydraulic fluid when you push down on the clutch pedal which enables you to shift between gears.

ok thanks, do i need to add fluid to where i'm thinking the "step" is? (3rd pic)

take out the rubber diaphram before adding fluid!

a lot of people make that mistake and just end up filling the diaphram which does nothing...

Yes, and make sure you clean the cap before you remove it...you don't want crud in your clutch...or brake cylinders for that matter...I always keep a rag under the hood stuffed behind the hump where the wires come through the firewall...
