I don't have a set of calipers so I can't do it myself and haven't found any specs on it so Im asking here. I have a 1998 Ranger 4.0 4x4 and I want to know what the diameter of the two pipes before the flange for the catalytic converter are? Like I said if I had the tools I would do it myself but I don't, and I'm sure I'm going to get the guy who only puts "Search" but this is easier.
The whole reason I want to know is because I don't want to pay $300+ for a direct fit when I can make one for less than half that with a Y-pipe, universal cat, straight pipe, and and an o2 bung.
I honestly haven't looked into it too much so I'm not even sure that it will work, I just know I need an new cat and don't have the money for a direct fit.

Thanks,

Geoff C.

This may be "Easier", someone may tell you to search, you may even get an answer. You should have the tools to do it yourself.

Wrap a piece of string around the pipe. measure the length. Calculate the diameter.

Circumference / ╥ = diameter.

Thank you.
I feel dumb now for not thinking of that myself.

did it, they are 2" like I thought they were, I just wasn't sure. thanks for the advice snoranger.
