And Strvger, I remember you commenting on running treasdwrights before im pretty sure. Which patterns and sizes have you run? and what kind of comments can you make on them?

excellent traction on ice, in snow and mud (up to about 6-8 inches or so), and on the trails. mine are over 4 years old and still have about half the tread left!
here is the main problem... with everyone going to wheels that are 17"-20"+, there are fewer casings in the sizes you (and I) are looking for. that is the reason for the delay in the 15inch sizes and in the old truck 235/85 and 215/85 16inch tires.
great tires at a great price.

Im definitely gettin treadwrights. And Strvger.. you are just a bank of information!

I mentioned retreads to my dad and he about shit his pants in the kitchen. He was like "YOU KNOW ALL THOSE SEMI TIRES YOU SEE EVERYWHERE?"
so then i had to explain that they had a DOT rating just as high as brand new tires, with almost the same treadlife. Heck, you've gotten 4 years so far and got plenty more! I think he'll have a changed perspective once I get some.

And what kind of shipping was there on these beasts?

well, about 4 years ago, it figured out to be about $20/tire, iirc. but, i'm a little closer to them being the next state over (minnesota). honestly, might be more now, although my tires were lots heavier than what yours will be. mine are the E rated/10ply equiv. type on michelin casings.
just have your dad check out their web site. he may convert easier than you think!

Its decided. Im meeting a fellow member in wisconsin while im up that direction tomorow so buy some stock tear drop rims off him that are 16x7. Then once I know they are straight and will work Im gonna order a set of these bad boys!

which looks like mine are E rated too, but thats the size I want. The skinnier the better I think.

why i like skinny:
1. easier to pick my way around potentially damaging trail obstacles. my dd doubles as my trail rig so i have to be careful or i don't get home or to work the next day!
2. better gas mileage due to both the smaller width (less drag), and harder sidewalls.
3. has done every bit as good on snow and in light mud (8" or less) as any one else i've trailed with. and the road to my place is class 5: lots of snow in winter, lots of mud in the spring and never been stuck.
4. it's just plain fun to be different!!

All very positive reasons! My only issue is... will I be able to fit the tires before I do the 3" coil spacers and the 2" rear blocks? From looking at everything on here that I have i think they'll fit, just not well.

But it doesnt really matter since the tires are on 2-3 week back order. And i plan on having the lift by that time.

I just sold a scooter for a couple hundred bucks and now Im so anxious to buy these tires. But before I do I am going to ask a question I am pretty sure of, just as a precaution.

On treadwright it says "rim width range: 5.5-7"
So that means if I have 16x7 wheels that I will be fine. Do you concur strvger?

i had 31's on a stock height 95 2wd 2.3l i got some rubbing but not much. make sure you change the rear if you have hills where you live. i dont think i ever used 5th gear again.
