What is lit?

I just got an 03 Extended Cab Edge 4x4 Ranger about a week ago. Something that is puzzling to me is that when I turn on the headlights, the headlight switch and the 3 posistions (off/parking lights/head lights) don't light up. Also, the power window and lock switches on the driver and passenger side do not illuminate. Is this normal or are they supposed to light up? I haven't had time to take the dash apart to check, but I'd rather know for sure they are supposed to light up before I start disassembling my truck. Thanks!

i have a 01 and i dont think the headlight switch does light up.. but the window stuff should.

So the power window and lock switches on both sides should light up? How do you get to the bulb on that? Pull the trim piece around the door handle where the switches are and its in there?!?

The power window, locks and the light switch don't light up, don't worry.

I've never seen or heard of luxury like that in a ranger!

your headlight switch should be illuminate.it has a twist in bulb that is built in to a plastic locking piece.its hard to explain but if i can find one for mine ill let you kno cuz i have the same problem.headlight and 4x4 switch

the power controls dont illuminate
the lights switch does , it has a tiny bulb mine came working, but then suddenly went off, since i couldnt find the bulb i replace4d it with a green led
u can do the same
the 4x4 swith .... i dont know if it lits, i think not

Headlight knob bulb ALWAYS burns out...i gaurentee there isn't a used ranger out there that that bulb isn't blown in. Convert it to LED like I did*. DO IT!

well....for your power window and lock switches....first year ford gave them light so to speak was '08....so dont worry about that. or shoot...dont even worry about the headlight switch either.




*well....i mean....i've got an all blue led dash in my 01....
