I am going from 235 75 r15 tires with 3.73 gears, to, 31 10.5 r15 tires. Would I be o.k. to to use 4.10 gears or would it be better to use 4.56 gears? I use this truck for about the same amount on and off road, and also on the freeway about 3-5 days out of the week. Any help is greatly appreciated! And also it is the 3.0L engine.

try it with the 3.73's first. If you don't like it get 4.10's. 4.56 is too much IMO

auto or manual

You have the exact same truck as I do and the guy that I bought it from put 31's on with the 3.73 gearing and it seemed to do alright honestly. Didn't seem too sluggish at all

Alright...yeah I was thinkin that 4.56 was to much too. And also I found an 8.8 exlorer axle with 4.10 gears that I am gonna put in during the summer so it pretty much all will work out. But I will try the 3.73's first and see what happens. By the way it is a manual.

I ran 3.73s with 31s with my 3.0 and It sucked big balls, you have a 4x4 so its heavier your gunna want the 4.10s trust me lol, I did a 8.8 swap with 4.10s and it was the best 600 bucks I ever spent
