I'm receiving my aussie for the Dana 35 tomorrow what oil should i use?

Also what about a 8.8 track lok carrier with a lock right?

Guy at the parts store said I should use the stuff with limited slip additive in it. They only had the 80w

If the instructions don't say anything different I would just run what is specified for the axles.

If you got the traction adders used they should have instructions for download on their websites.

Without clutches to worry about I don't think that you would need the limited slip stuff. I doubt many parts counter guys know much about it other than if it isn't open it needs the extra stuff.

80 ain't heavy enough, they are not much of a parts store if they don't even have 80W/90. A lot of the later axles went to 75W/140 though.

75 or 80w90 is what you want

80w90 is what I got. He said the extra stuff in the oil couldn't hurt it.

Won't hurt, just needless money spent. Friction modifier is only for clutch type limited slips.
