What does this Connector Go to?

I've recently found that the wire coming from the connector with the red arrow pointing to it in the picture has been chewed by mice, and for the life of me I can't figure out where it goes to. I've torn apart everything looking for the other end so I can repair the connection. Any help is appreciated!

Sorry, should have clarified, its a 2001 Ford Ranger 4.0L SOHC, and the side going to the wiring harness is intact, but the wire that comes out the front of this harness goes about 12" to nowhere where it got chewed through. Thanks...

That is a terrible picture and I barely see it, but I think it kind of looks like the connector for the knock sensor. Should run down under the intake.

I second that this is a horrible pic and from what I can see that looks like an iat plug, but could be a knock sensor too.

Positionally it could be an IAT, but Ford never used that shape of connector for the IAT, and on this engine it was always a function of the MAF anyway.

Sorry for the terrible picture, its the best one I could find online. I think you are correct looking at videos on the knock sensor that's exactly where this wire runs to. Thanks for your help. Now I just have to take off the intake so I can fix it.
