What does a ranger bed weigh?

If you have a wooden flatbed.

And it gets wet.

And it warps.

How do you bondo?

Do your rates go up if you're a smoker because higher risk of fire?

Contrary to popular belief, the flareside box weighs 5kg (10 lbs) more than the styleside one. Those fiberglass fenders aren't exactly light, and they don't add any structure, so the base box needs to be stronger.

My Ranger's 6' styleside box weighed 110 kg (245 lb) with tailgate; 95 kg (210 lbs) without. The bed liner 15 kg (35 lbs).

My 7' box with spray in liner is over 150 kg (345 lbs)

For reference: 8' full size box (one of the last steel ones) weighs 155 kg (350 lbs) and dually box 180 kg (395 lbs)

I was going to guess about 200 lbs since two people have moved them before but since I did not have any proof, I wasn't providing any pertinent information. The OP has probably run to the hills by now with all the replies he got in this thread.

A stock Ranger bed weighs 200 pounds less than the flat deck that you want to build.

Well that's convenient! Lol. Your actually probably not that far off.

After some time with material weight calculators, I've got a couple rough ideas of what I'll end up with.

I was envisioning laying 8" c-channel upright on top of the trucks frame, with 1.5" .120 wall square tubing as frame for the decking.

That's roughly 195lb.

Decking it over with pressure treated 2x12s would add another 240lb, 1/8th" steel would add 180lb, And regular 2x12s would add about 150lbs.

weight now ranges from 345-435.

If I used a smaller c-channel I could knock off roughly 40 pounds, but then I'd have to make spacers so my tires dont scrub at full articulation.

Fun fact: wood comes from trees.

Fun fact: wood comes from trees.
But trees come from seeds, and,
Seeds come from Lowes, Home Depot,
So, theoretically, wood comes from Lowes and Home Depot.

I would suggest oak if you can afford it and find it in the sizes you need over pressure treated pine. That is traditionally what flatbeds are made of. The wood is often treated with used motor oil to preserve the wood. Even better and more traditional is rough cut oak but that might be pushing it.
