I spent the week chipping away at my workshop project. Unfortunately it’s taking longer than anticipated. But it’s going to be really nice. I have most of the frame put together, still have to do some reinforcement and finishing and stuff.

Yes, I find that my estimates of time to do a job can realistically be doubled and then add 20% to be safe.

Yes, I find that my estimates of time to do a job can realistically be doubled and then add 20% to be safe.

My plans have had to change a bit with it once I started seeing how it was actually working out. Add in that I can only tolerate so much activity a day and having to cover stuff at night and that the tubing is thin and I don’t have a smaller wire for the welder so I’m often blowing holes. It’s been a challenge. The ideal would have been a square tube bending die for my tube bender and make a new frame from scratch but my budget didn’t allow for that so I’m trying to make it work with buying the minimum amount of steel and repurposing a bunch of stuff.

finished up the shed project, moved stuff around & filled it. washed the tractor & truck. found out that I need a leaf spring. Weird spot to break, looks like its been that way for a while.
