What did YOU do today?

Well, after Corey let me take the Vagabond trip to Colorado. I promised to take her somewhere this weekend. We loaded up and went to Cummins Falls. Short 1.5 mile hike down to the falls and let the heathens loose at the water hole haha. Was a good day. I think we all slipped and fell on the rocks at one point haha. Still a lot of fun.

Walked... A lot!

In DC for the week and it is faster to walk than drive or take the bus. Might break down and use one of ride share bicycles before it's over with. Most of the stuff I want to see is within 1-1.5 miles of the hotel. Probably not more than a half mile from one location to the next. All of those half miles add up, and there isn't much sitting in between. I couldn't even begin to guess how much distance I covered walking around inside of places.

Really wish I hadn't forgotten my Fitbit when I left the house for this trip, would be interesting to track just how much I walked this week. If it wouldn't take so long to get some place to buy one, I'd probably go get another smart watch or a step counter just to track it.

As for what I saw today, National History Museum, a bunch of the National Mall, and just generally wondering around and looking at buildings. Air and space museum scheduled for tomorrow at noon. Not sure what else I'm going to hit before then, maybe the Ford theater tour. Depending on when I finish at the A&S the American Indian museum is next door.

Forgot another thing I did yesterday, did an oil change on the '97 Ranger...

Today I started working on the chainsaw while I waited for Lindsey to get out... was able to get the crimp of the kill switch apart enough to get it back together and it runs! Looked at the sticker and it's an '11 model still the newest saw I have by far other than the Harbor Freight cordless stuff... that said while it was apart I took the metering diaphragm off and it would have been fine if I hadn't stabbed it with a screwdriver getting the cover off. Once together I started it and it has potential but the high speed circuit is plugged, almost wants to idle but is lean unless the choke is on...

We bled the brakes, lot of air was stuck in the caliper I changed but oh boy do the brakes work good now! After a quick test drive I loaded up the camper and took it to the harvest fest grounds and hung out for a little bit.

After that I drug the pipe trailer to my brothers, then got home and changed the oil in the '00 Explorer...

Hopefully I'll get to do some relaxing this weekend :)

put some stuff that was laying around the garage in the shed. Preparing for the Great Garage Reorganization... which will be moving both 8' workbenches to the other side of the garage and placing them back to back 90* against the wall. this will free up about 30" of space all down the other side of the garage so that I can open the doors on the Edge and get out after pulling it in the garage.

the Refrigerator will need to be moved to the oposite side as well. Anyone want to come over and help move a few workbenches and put a bunch of empty totes in the attic?

Changed my dv plates for dv plates with isa so i dont keep forgetting to hang the placard when i park

I’ll be there with you in spirit!

My hitch adapter came in. Unfortunately, it sticks out a bunch. I got it so i can have a step installed in the hitch and easily mount my hitch mounted bike rack because both steps i have, have threaded pins, and so does the bike rack. But with how far it sticks out, i really dont need the step now. :(

This thing is made for towing and weighs a ton. Another kind of negative thing but i geuss the back will ride even smoother now

Spent a bunch ordering parts for the brush hog.

Pisses me off that Tractor Supply and Rural King only have one small aisle each of parts and nobody else local stocks anything either.

Then I spent the rest of my day working on various projects and grilling brats for dinner with grilled onions and mom made the family recipe German potato salad. Cigar and a frosty beverage for dessert.

Can you send me the recipe? There are a few brats around the neighborhood I would like to roast.!

Better if you just boil them in your favorite beer for 20-30 minutes

The grass got cut so as to even it out. It's been pretty dry here as of late. So only patches of the yard, where water lingers longer wete getting tall. And the part of the yard where the varigated beech is was littered with a bunch of seed pods from the tree. So those got mulched up as mich as the mower could chop them up.

The mini compresser got a dedicated spot just inside the garage where a bigger compressor may go in the future so I could mount the air hose reel. The reel is on a hinged bracket so it can be stowed out of the way when not in use, under the small bench my vice and bench grinder are mounted.

And the mud terrain tire removal and all terrain tire installation was completed on the 2019. The gear oil still needs to be changed in the rear axle. So, that will probably be about it for the 2019 until the transmission fluid and the stuff to complete the belt and oil leak work comes in. Of course, I still need to finsh the drawer box. The main build is done but everything needs to be sealed, primed, and painted. By the time all that is done, it will be time to move over to the 2011 for it's preventative and regular maintenance. Then it will be time for the Escape. Work, work, work...

Poke holes in them, soak them in beer and throw them on the grill :tease: :icon_rofl:

I apologized to the forum & Jim for saying he collects & sells my personal information, I was wrong & I'm sorry.

I bought a couple Powerball tickets. I hardly ever buy a lottery ticket, but too much pressure on this one from the little cute brunette.

I wanted to let you guys know, so you didn’t waste your two dollars and time getting a ticket now that I have mine.
