yesterday i had to take the wife to dinner and buy anniversary gifts since we have been married for 24 years now. like most weird holidays, i got nothing out of it, not even getting to pick where to eat.

My wife bought me two beach chairs for my birthday.

I have not been to the beach this year because every time time I am off it rains.

My wife has used the chairs a couple times when she went to the beach with her friend.

Sitting here watching the rain come down. 2hours now and counting. Yesterday started digging a trench with the Beast to help drain said water. Looks like water responded with a big FU a-hole hold my beer. ;[

busy day, mowed the yard, made a new sign for the roadside egg stand, worked on the chicken house and put the hhr out by the road with a sign in it. Was a 10 egg day today.

Dang, does the $2/dozen include shipping? Because farm fresh eggs around here are anywhere from $4 to $6 a dozen.

Shipping to florida? assuming they all arrived intact, they probably wouldnt be fresh by the time they got there. locally here, most hometead eggs are going for $3/dzn so thats where I started. unfortunately (for the egg-selling homesteaders) store prices have dropped, krogers has a 18 count egg carton for 1.98 right now, so getting new business is a issue when they can just get it for less at a store, a year ago it was a different story when a dozen store eggs was 4 or 5 bucks.
Such is life, Theres a local farmer’s market every saturday nearby in a village near where I grew up, Guess I could set up a table & a awning and -try that in a small town-.

I started getting my camping gear together for the LBL trip coming up. It's pretty scattered around.

Someone my mom knows I just heard is freeze drying eggs and selling them at $45/lb plus shipping…

Yesterday I went and helped a family friend. Shifter wasn’t working right and the speedometer/odometer wasn’t working. Tore the dash apart, put a new plastic gear in the gauge cluster for the speedometer/odometer (the old one came out in two pieces), had to pull a bolt from a junk Explorer to fix the shifter and I put some blue locktite on the bolts for the shifter. Then we road tested it with a trip for subs and beer to celebrate success.
