What did you do to your Ranger today? (Part Deux!)

Took the cap off the ranger trailer and parked it near the road with a mini-fridge chained in the bed and a small tool box with a cash slot in the lid, roofing screws securing it to the bed floor. See if I can get some egg sales off the passing backroad traffic. Paid $40 for thr fridge last weekend at a garage sale. We will see if this self-serve egg sales thing pays off. Getting 7-9 eggs a day now.

You couldn’t get through on the radio? You had to go up there? What kind of radio club is that?

50th anniversary and it’s kinda hard to share a meal over the radio.

After all these years, I can't believe nobody has figured that out yet.

Changed oil yesterday and rotated tires today after a trip to the oil recycling station. Installed racing shoes and drums on the back... actually just scraped the rust scale off the old drums and sprayed them with some VHT. Cut stopping distance dramatically ;)

A few years ago at work someone asked me to FAX them an engine calibration... with the proper software they can be emailed but not faxed, telegraphed or other silliness...

Today- and the past few days- I’m beginning to pull parts lists together to do the dreaded timing on my 03 with the 4L SOHC. Yeah this ain’t going to be cheap OR easy.

But… at least I get to pull an engine for the first time at a young age

Can you mention the parts you used? I'm looking for a similar upgrade

I think he did:

VHT, the performance upgrade in a can.

Just wanted to mention that last week my Ranger became my daily driver. My last day at work is tomorrow and I turned in my employee-lease vehicle last Tuesday. More details after tomorrow.

For better or worse, the Ranger will be my only vehicle, but I've been planning for this day and that's why I bought it in 2021.
