The only reason we got a part 2 is because part 1 up and disappeared.

It might not be a bad idea to preemptively create one.

Wednesday morning the wife had a flat tire on the Camry so she took the green explorer to work, that was fine until yesterday morning when she went to start it and it did nothing... I investigated yesterday and it turns out the rest of the stupid sheet brass battery terminal failed, I'd turned it into a ring terminal a few years ago and put one of those conversion things on, that had about 1/16" of an inch of contact with some corrosion left yesterday so I resorted to using one of those last resort clamp things as I was out of the big welder style crimp on ring terminals... well I had one but needed two...

Took it to the Depot for a Fridge and a shop sink.

Took mine on a 400–mile (total) round trip to Virginia's Eastern Shore and back. No problems, averaged 22.3 miles/gallon, which isn't shabby for the thirsty 4.0.

The Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel had wind warnings and a reduced speed limit of 45 mph. The winds were gusting strongly and the water was very choppy, so the reduced speed was wise.

Well I relieved it of its duty to hold the driveway down since New Years Eve... Started right up after almost 2 and a half months. drove it around a bit.

May take it to church tomorrow.

I picked up the extended shackles to try and another couple quarts of Mercon V for the green Ranger project. That was as far as I got today, had to take mom a couple places and still dealing with this sinus infection plus tomorrow is supposed to be a little warmer, so… lol

The wife wants a two door wrangler so we have been dealer hopping today. After a long fruitless day of finding two 2 door models around the whole area we live, I talked her into sitting in a new ranger (finally).

She likes it. It's taken since 2020 to get her to sit in a new ranger. So now rangers and Wranglers and I am down talking Wranglers because we have had so many and I know how they are very useless for anything but getting waved at by other wranglers

i like jeeps......just like rangers more.

That’s a pretty darn good mpg average. I’ve only gotten close to the 23 mpg once or twice in the 2011 before I started doing things that reduce mpg. Now I’m happy if I hit 21, which is not often. 19 - 20 is more like what I see now.

No work on the Ranger today. Extenuating circumstances.
