What did you do to your Ranger today? (Part Deux!)

Saw new Polaroid cameras on the shelf at Target last weekend.

It was weird to see them.

Are those the ones made by the Jeffrey Epstein company?

Who knew Target would be the first company to master time travel...

Now that you guys in the Midwest got over your snowflakes, the trucks came in with the vaccine, so the Redhead and I went down and got our second shots. She was gorgeous like usual even though we went down at 7:30. Like last time, she’s fine and I’m kind of achy.

Then we went by her house and I fixed the garage door frame where it was pulling out in the right top corner. Between these two, the Redhead was very happy and appreciative and she was smiling at me and winked. Whew!

Then I stopped by my mailbox, and the seat covers came in for both rangers. They are terrific! I wanted some graphics, and I was very surprised that they did the graphics perfectly, and they are heat pressed onto the covers, not just stamped with ink. They came from designcovers.com. They are very high-quality covers, they will look like the OEM covers quality-wise, but they are relatively easy to slip over the top and then fasten the fasteners that hold them tight.

By the end of all of this, even with fooling with the lawyers, I believe I was actually sexually aroused.

I’m pretty sure it was the seat covers...

my exhaust came apart on the way home, had to rig it all back together again. I do like the noise when I downshift and the muffler isn’t connected.

Always carry a coat hanger in your tool kit!

I used copper wire. doesnt rust.

Drove it into the city to stretch its legs. I gave it a full tank of fuel with a bottle of Isopropyl alcohol injector cleaner mix in prevention of frozen fuel lines so my beer fetcher can still fetch beer when I want it to. I can't argue with how faithful it is as it has only left me stranded once and that was a new part that went bad.

Ok, remember the first maiden voyage where the brakes gave out and the radiator spilled all the water, got towed, and then the second maiden voyage where it caught on fire, and all the “it’s alive, ITS ALIVE” stuff? Well, today (Roman Caesar trumpet salute!!!), I drove the 87 4wd 15 miles today!!!

I had the second Covid shot yesterday, so I wasn’t sure at first that I wasn’t simply delirious, but yes, it went forward, steered and stopped pretty much as I wanted it too, almost every time!!

On the brakes, I took them apart (stuck), couldn’t find anything, put them back together (4th time), and they worked perfectly. I was almost disappointed in my frustration. Only thing I can figure is that the outboard pad with the clip wasn’t seated properly.

So, it was 70+ and gorgeous in Atlanta, but from the shot I had no energy, so I went over to the PAP glass shop and got a new windshield installed for $165. Here’s a pic

It’s hard to believe it’s the same truck when it’s not on fire!!

Well after a week of the second roof basket I ordered being lost in Atlanta... it finally appeared on the porch this evening. I have tomorrow off work... the weather is suppose to be near 50 degrees... guessing I might actually get a chance to unbox them and do some measuring.

Well it took 3 weeks but the final chunk of snow finally melted off the windshield. Now that it's cleaned itself off I guess I'll start driving it again...

I hate cleaning snow...

Put a new radiator in with those skinny brackets to hold the electric fan. The plastic ties damaged the radiator after a year plus of driving.
