What did you do to your Ranger today? (Part Deux!)

Also got a new tool box that actually fit all my ropes, straps, spare fluids, parts, and tools! I dislike losing so much bed space with such a big box but it’s not as deep as some and there’s room to slide my paddle boardkayaks under it. Atleast until I get a bed rack I can put them on top of.
I have thought for a while that a "half-sized" tool box that mounts on one side of the bed and leaves the rest of the bed open on the other side might be a good seller. Have any of you ever seen anything similar?

They have the ones that sit over a wheel well. Something like that?

Can't wait for the video report on this adventure.

Gonna be awhile, events are still unfolding.

Got inspection done, no issues.
Took it to Hamren's. For $24 they do "Checkover and Concierge" which is make sure it doesn't need anything before actual inspection (add $20 for that, state controlled fee).
I dropped it off yesterday afternoon, they put inside overnight, and they take care of getting the sticker on it (they don't do the actual sticker).
Seems worth it. True I have to make 2 trips vs waiting but you don't want to flunk inspection then they put a "Failed" sticker on it and you are under the gun to fix whatever then go again.
Already did Mazda last month no issues with it either.

That’s actually what I had in the truck before, but I had it in the standard location behind the cab. I’m not a fan of how tool boxes look mounted on the bedside. Even if it’s super convenient.

Not quite. I'm talking about a box that sits just behind the cab like a regular box, but only takes up one side. It would be in front of the wheel well. I'm not talking about the big boxes that mount completely on top of the bed side. Sounds as though Dantheman1540 had what I'm describing.

I hit a deer in the Strangler last night, around 11:15, coming back from my lady friends house. It jumped out in front of me from the left and as soon as it landed, it tried to turn back. I caught it with the bumper, under the passenger headlight, and knocked it down. It went under the passenger side tires and out the back. I was running the speed limit, 55mph, because cops. I think I manged to haul it down to around 40mph when I made contact. Deer got up and bolted. I'm pretty sure it's dying a slow death which makes me feel horrible. No body damage to the truck, but the right side of my truck hops around above 30mph. May have lost some wheel balancing weights.

Check your right front suspension and frame for anything bent or out of whack.

Or gained some...

Backed the rear of the ranger up some ramps to prep for working on it.. then I remembered I wanted to get some "Intro shots" of it for a YouTube video before I start projecting my vision upon it.

Now trying to brainstorm a good backdrop for such shots that's around town.. a giant grease fire would be fitting but.. we don't have one of those.

An old warehouse with lots of rust and broken windows.

In the middle of someone's backyard junkyard.

Old closed down gas station.

Back alley of a strip center amongst all their dumpsters.
