No. It did come with a material thickness gauge and the tuna can is a perfect sized tray to keep it handy.

That's a good idea! My gauge came with one of those little keychain chains attached but I hang it up and can never find it with all my crap on the workbench. I need to attach mine right to the side of my welder.

I think the lug nut loosening incident warped my new rear rotors, which I'm not very happy about. Thankfully, they aren't as bad since I loosened and reset the wheels but depending on how the pad wear looks in the fall I may be replacing rear brakes yet again. Or at least rear rotors. I need to make another road trip or two in order to make a final decision on if it should wait or not.

Took the 2020 on a little adventure today to get out of the house.
45 miles of unmaintained dirt road through a wildlife refuge. Started at around 2700 feet and the campground at the half way point is 5900 feet. Almost 30 degrees cooler up there. Most people usually turn around and go back but we went all the way through. Was a great day but the black truck definitely needs a bath!

Made a few $$$ selling stuff on e-bay, so wife let me buy something for myself.
Got a Scan Gauge 2, delivered Friday. Now I can keep track of the vital stuff on the Ranger.
Have one on our motor home, V-10 E-450 and it has become invaluable in monitoring the systems.

Made a few $$$ selling stuff on e-bay, so wife let me buy something for myself.
Got a Scan Gauge 2, delivered Friday. Now I can keep track of the vital stuff on the Ranger.
Have one on our motor home, V-10 E-450 and it has become invaluable in monitoring the systems.

Funny you should mention this... as I've sold a few things too. I was looking on Amazon this morning and the MX Plus FORscan adapter is $20 off. It's in the cart. Tying to figure out a tablet holder for my truck and checking into Android Auto. I just don't know if it is a viable option to do this over a stand alone Garmin GPS. Trying to get all my electrical accessories lined up so I can build the wire harness for everything opposed to doing it piece meal.

My brain is overloading...

A phone/tablets GPS "chip" (for lack of a better word I guess) isn't nearly as strong as a "real" GPS's. They will work without wifi/cell service.. but in my experience you miss a lot of the detail that a standalone would know is there. For example.. I've gone through northern NH to VT using my phones GPS, lost service for at least an hour.. And during the time google maps was just running off the GPS all it would show me was the arrow where we were and the highlighted route we were supposed to follow. That's it. A standalone would of course show you all the side roads and ponds and whatever else would normally be on a map.

A standalone would operate faster as well.

That would be a pretty sizable shortfall... I just make a new post. I didn't see one posted already... we have a tendency here to bury some good information in this thread.

Chime in on the new thread... I would like your opinion on shortfalls and UP sides (if any).
