What did you do to your Ranger today? (Part Deux!)

Before long, you'll be driving a red porcupine.

It's certainly getting a real antenna farm to it. The HF antenna is the last planned install.

I'm doing this while chipping away at the trailer project at the same time. I want to get the remaining side sealed and panted in time for Memorial Day and I'm getting the metal together for the ramp tray. The tray can wait same since the ramp section is secure as is. It would just be nice to not have to crawl under the trailer to get it detached and dropped. But it would be nice to have the trailer all one color for the parade.

Drove it to work, drove it home. Carried a bunch of heads out of the barn and put them in the back of the Ranger to play with later.

We will have to get together at some point for the steel

So I finally managed to get the broken valve cover bolt extracted from the head for the 5.0 for the green Ranger. Tried building up weld with the MIG instead of the torch this time. First try I built up and welded a nut on, and like before, it sheared off. Built up weld again and grabbed it with slip joints and it sheared. Built it up again and grabbed it with slip joints and finally managed to wiggle it free. Can’t believe how much trouble that little thing gave me.

Message me on what you want collaborate on and what you have lying around. No point in clogging up the thread with it.

drove to wataburger for a grilled chicken sandwich and sweet tea. the only thing wrong with this little truck is the dang cup holders. who in the 2ks thought to use cup holders for a 12 oz can? yes, its better than no cup holder but is it really?

Don't you have the little plastic thing that slides up for taller cups? or too fat of a cup?

i do but as soon as i put a cup in it, the plastic thing slides down again because the cups bell out right at that level. and the cup hits the lower part of the dash and sits sideways so doesn't help.

i just need to make a cup holder out of something. one that sits were the seat curve is behind the shifter.

Don't drink and drive.

did ford ever make some type of cup hold that bolts to the seat some how? i know my old sonoma had some that bolted to the seat frame and sat there. if ford didn't, i wonder if the ones from a sonoma or s10 would fit with some rivets?

Yeah, the later years had two pegs that stuck out from the front of the base on the middle seal and a set of cupholders clipper on there.
