Your engine no go vroom!

The really sad part is i started this project 2 weeks ago :icon_rofl:. It hasn't gone vroom in a while now. I'm just sooooo lazy when it comes to fixing my own stuff. Still haven't even gotten the valve cover off and thats the the actual thing I need to fix. I give it another 3 weeks...

I also cleaned this one injector...

Doing 3 more seemed like too much work so I quit and started drinking.

Took pics of the intake valves with my fancy borescope, once i figure out how to get them off my computer ill upload them. You will see why I am huge fan of seafoam. They look like brand new. I mean wipe your finger on them and they are still shiney new. :icon_thumby:

Only thing with the slightest carbon was the EGR tube. Just a light ring a could remove with a small bottle brush. Its only a 72,000 mile motor but it idles ALOT. like 20 hours a week.

Drove it today..... 3rd gear works when it seems to be convenient for the transmission... mainly on the down shift after after it grinds a lil.... I guess that gear was to far gone... and the truck is hesitant to accelerate probably the timing needs played with again....

Gave the 2019 a bath and an interior cleaning. Plans changed multiple times, so it went from a full detailing to a quick wash and wax to a more detailed wash minus the clay bar and wax application. Pretty much how my day went from morning on. Starting with the memorial service we had cobbled together. Yep, one big cluster after another.

Installed the spring mount for my safety flag for the trail ride. Yup. That's all. Disappointing. But at least I gave it some truck love.

Yesterday, my dog used it as shelter from the big scary noisy thunderstorm. I had the door from garage to house open so I could hear the stereo in the living room. Noticed I hadn't seen Livvy for a while during the storms. Finally found her under her Ranger in the garage.

Pics? Ill have my locker, 4.56 gears and 31s on in time for the trail ride so im gonna try to come and try to do at least part of the trails with my truck if I can.

I mustered up enough energy to actually get the valve cover off...

You could eat off that valve train! And I plan too... where's my chowdah!

how many miles, what oil, change interval, brand of filter, & your favorite peanuts?

Around 72,000 miles but ooodles of idle time. I do it every 3,000 miles with pennzoil ultra platinum and a motorcraft filter. De-carbon it with seafoam through the intake once a year.
