what trucks or cars came from the factory with gt40 "x" heads? for some reason i thought a newer explorers have them.

None. The early Explorers (till early/mid 97) came with the GT-40 heads, the later ones had the "P" heads.

There were a few aluminum GT40 castings installed in the Explorers. But no "X" heads.

Found a set in a SN95 mustang last week at the pick and pull but they were obviously not origional as the head bolts were all torqued differently
