What can be swapped from an 91 Exploder to a 94 Ranger?

Ok, I should be picking up a 91 4.0 4x4 Exploder sometime this week. Engine is somewhat done ... dude said it overheats and has coolant in the oil. I'm picking it up for parts anyways.

What can I use from that to improve my Ranger (94 4x4 4.0 auto)?

I already plan on using the transmission (manual! yay!), axles (3.73 is better than 3.27! + 31 spline 8.8) and possibly play with the leaf pack from the exploder to lift the Ranger 3-4" (will figure something out for the front, obviously)

Transfer case is useless to me, electronic 1354 ... I want a manual TC. Engine I don't know if I want to bother with it yet ... my 4.0 still runs perfect.

What else can be swapped that I have not thought of?

Good thing is that the interiors are the same style. If you're swapping auto to manual, think about the steering column, pedal assembly, floor plate w/ boot and cluster blocking plate (for the auto's gear position).

I'm definitely taking the pdeals and everything related to the tranny swap.

Steering column I'm not so sure ... sounds like a lot of hassle for nothing (I could put the lever on neutral and remove it).

I'm keeping the auto gear position cluster, I'll just replace PRND21 by FYYFF. Or put a big "forbidden" sticker on it :D

The column really isn't that hard to remove and replace. Never done the pedal swap myself, but it seems that it would be easier with the column out of the way. But I do like your idea for replacing the PRND21 :icon_thumby:.
