What Are You Listening To???

80s on 8 Sirius XM top 40 countdown for Oct 3, 1987. some great hits. Whitesnakes' "Here I go Again" was number two. "In My Dreams" by REO Speedwagon, another good one, haven't heard it in probably 20 years.

thinking on signing up for the 4 bucks a month deal when my 3 month preview ends in a few weeks.

Gotta review the classics

Wow. Thanks for sharing that. One of my favorite songs. I'm sad to admit I didn't know Jerry Granelli passed away a few years ago. I was going to make a comment about how you don't see any drummers play with brushes anymore, then noticed once he picked up the sticks he was holding one backwards for a bit. How many 80 year olds do you know that could keep time like a metronome? RIP Jerry.

I'm sure most jazz guys know the story of how Dave Brubeck turned down the chance to score the Charlie Brown documentary that spawned this song because he was too busy... I, for one, am grateful about this twist of fate.

Listening to the Radio Paradise rock stream as a usually do in the garage and heard 2 of my favorite songs in a row. One for the Americans (I know he's not American but someone should give him a passport):

and one for the Canadians. A song about Maritimers that Maritimers and Albertans understand.

A favorite from across the pond, back a bit....https://youtu.be/80LTo1a9zqc?feature=shared

Fitting for the season I suppose. My 2 year old grandson has the dance moves down and now I can't get it out of my head...

Last night we saw The Machine, a Pink Floyd tribute band, and they were outstanding. The vocals didn't sound quite like the originals but instrumentally they nailed it.
Last month we saw the Fleetwood Mac tribute band Tusk and they were amazing, too.
As a bonus, Salt Hill Pub now sells beer and wine in the lobby of the Lebanon Opera House and you're allowed to bring it to your seat.

A couple of Christmas songs my church worship team has put out.
