YAY!!! The day is finally here!! Going to pick my pan and gasket up today.

Anything I should do/look at while I'm under there with the pan off?

Since you last saw our hero...she has dumped about 3 quarts on the lawn. lol

This is going to be hell today guys. We're expecting a high of 16F today.

quit whining. I had to change the water pump on a 350 small block in Wyoming and it was -10*f. and Thursday I tarped a load of hay in Ayr ND while it was 0*f with a wind chill of -19*f

lol...i'm not saying it's the coldest weather we've got around here. It does get much much colder. Just not ideal in an uninsulated, unheated garage where the doors face north. lol.

Just dropped the pan...finally. My god I can't wait to SAS this thing! Ford purposely put those bolts above the diff! lol

Oh well. At least I'm at the 1/2 way point now. Just going to let the oil drip for a couple minutes before I crawl back under to clean the old gasket off.

Be careful to not overtorque and snap off those dinky lower pan bolts. That sux.

DONE!!!!

Got pix of the old setup, but then my phone died, so no pix of the new stuff.

Everything's working as it should

I figure I lost about 2 1/2 quarts with the truck just sitting there cold.

Oh...and I can't count how many times I bounced the back of my f**king head on my bumper crawling out from under there!!!!

EDIT: When my phone is charged, i'll get pix of the new pan and pix of the misc. stuff that I found in the bottom of the old pan.
