What am I looking at??

I’m replacing my weather stripping and noticed this hiding behind the jump seat on the drivers side. What the hell is it?? I assume it’s oem by the connectors and the fact there’s a bracket it looks to bolts into, but what is it? 91 4.0 4x4 5 speed

I once found something similar in the rear roof of a Taurus, it was a small audio amplifier.
do any wires lead back to the speakers or radio?
