what all goes into a v8 swap

what all goes into a v8 swap? neighbor has beefed up 302 w/ headers and conversion mounts from a ranger, said i could have it and he would install it for 800 comes with wiring harness.. will find out more shortly, trying to get some input

Does that 800 include all parts, or is that just for labor? What is the question ??? What are you looking for more input on ??

like what all goes into a swap, im guessing not just a motor swap out.

ECM?
MOTOR -yes
motor mounts - yes
Tranny or Stock Tranny?
Wiring - yes
Will I be able to use my stock gauges with a new motor.

He said he had a beefed up 302 that was from a stang but installed in a ranger, then that ranger was wrapped around a pole. He said he had everything to do the swap and would sell me all the stuff and install it all for just 800, motor has headers on it and has all the wiring and ecm.

My biggest questions are what all should i look for when i go look at it and talk more to him about it.
