a friend of mine works for a local ford dealer. he just bought a new f150 back in febuary. well the truck went in 2 weeks ago for warentey work and he got a loner then his van went in on tuesday. yesterday a salesman backed an explorer into a light pole and today pulled out in front of a semi and got wacked in the process it pushed the vehicle into a roush mustang totaling both cars. they had a meting this afternoon and were told that no employees are aloud to drive company vehicles . now since the truck AND his van are at the dealer the loner is the only thing he had to drive and he lost it today. so he is driving my ranger until he can get one of his vehicles back . to me i think that is a crock of bs.

Sounds right. Taxi services, ambulance services, funeral homes, the postal service--these are all companies that should also adopt that policy.

How are they going to move them around the lot? This policy will last a day or two. If I sell cars there I'm saying "Hey boss, can you open the door so Mr. Jones can drive his new ride out of the showroom since I can't move it?"
Reminds me of the company that bought all the sales reps laptop computers and then bolted them to their desks so they wouldn't get stolen.

I wish I worked there and a transporter showed up. Driver unloads cars and I'm hanging out watching.

A company vehicle is usually a vehicle that is owned by the business and used for the business, tow truck, service truck or parts runner. I wouldn't think the cars for sale would fall under that category.

A company vehicle is usually a vehicle that is owned by the business and used for the business, tow truck, service truck or parts runner. I wouldn't think the cars for sale would fall under that category.

At the dealer I used to work at, new cars, used cars, demos, and the parts truck all had dealer plates because it keeps a letter off the title. I assume they're all under the same insurance policy.
