What a joke!!!!!

lol...

your opinion is that they will broke?

well looks like you're staying stuck then. have fun.

Chains are better then ropes, depending on how you use them. I Obviously wouldn't want my friend to pull me out with a chain because I know he would gun it and F**k something up... I on the other hand go up till its tight and then ease on it....:icon_thumby:

the chian will not brake but the stress will brake something on my truck and i will not be stuck for that long i have friends with big trucks like 5 tons so i will not be stuck long

Yeah thats true, not every situation can warrent the use of chains, plus thinking about it straps are nice because with the right one it will break just before you start braking stuff...

I have never had to "pop" against a chain to un stuck somebody...... popping against any recovery device can cause parts to break........ ofcourse I don't try to recover a Full size with a Samuria either......... I did recover a loaded tri-axle with a 3/4 ton Suburban ..... but the Suburban never left the pavement and tri-axles will get hung up on wet grass.......

They aren't the best quality videos but my point is that when chains break bad things happen, when straps break the worst thing is someone is still stuck.

Same can happen when straps snap... obviously it takes more for a strap then a chain but it can still happen.

Plus both those moments were kinda dumb. The first one they weren't using a big enough chain (or the second on either for that matter...) and they they both tugged and jerked.a cahin is roll forward till its taught then start going...

I bought a $10 30ft 3,333 lb breaking strength tow rope from where I work (Big Lots). I've pulled out two of cars with it already. I pulled out a Chevy Metro out of a small ditch yesterday and a Dodge Caliber out of a 4 ft ditch today with my Bronco. It's really strong - money well spent.
