So I was scrolling through a thread and this popped up. Since we’re trying to be a family friendly forum, I think @Jim Oaks should know what’s being shown in the ads.

Do you have a paid membership? I don’t see the supporting member banner next to your name. That banner repels ads.

I used to be a financial contributor. But then I went through some tough financial times and had to quit. I have no issues with the ads, I completely understand their purpose.

I just thought Jim might want to know what kind of ads were getting put on the site. I know he wants the site to be family friendly.

Again though... ads are usually suggested to an individual based on their viewing habits.

Make use of both an ad blocker & a script blocker in your browser, all of that junk will disappear.

I figure it’s because he just hasn’t interacted with me much. Probably just errors on the nice side because he’s the big guy. I’ve got some tough skin though…

Turned out to be an app for romance stories. I can prevent ads from certain URLs or categories from appearing.
