My 87 year old mother has been here fir a couple months... her last week here so I let her pick dinners this week. Tonight was SOS.

I wouldn't want to eat it every day... but she made it bout once a week when I was growing up. Was pretty good.

Seashell eggplant parmigiana and sausage. The seashell is one continuous very thin pasta about 1/2" wide wrapped into seashell shape.

Cool. I'm not into eggplant. But those pasta things are interesting. I've never heard of them before.

I found out from a friend that they are usually made into a sweet rather than savory dish. He was surprised that it was a savory dish. I've never ran across these before so had no clue.

Wife is out of town... it's National Cheeseburger day... and I had no burger buns.

Green olives on a Cheeseburger might just be a Flint Michigan thing. They do make the best Coney dogs on the entire damn planet too.

I love angle food cake. Mom used to make it with a rich fudge icing. Berries and cream work well, too.

My big slicer tomatoes are finally coming in. Cherokee Purples... sweet... juicey... kinda high acid... friggin delicious!

BLT's tonight... and I made potato pancakes.
