I stood in the kitchen eating corn chips with salsa out of the jar. Ate about half a jar of salsa. Also some beer.

My wife... bless her none culinary heart... asked me what kind of cake I wanted and she was going to make it for me. I said let's do some simple... yellow layer cake with chocolate butter cream frosting... easy peasy! First problem was she couldn't find chocolate butter cream. So... she bought both chocolate and butter cream. The rest of the story... you simply just can't make up...

This was 1st attempt at this large of a pie, 21"×15". It turns out I need to make the following amendments to my pizza protocols, when this large:
1) double batch of dough
2) 24 oz sauce
3) 2 lbs cheese
4) minimum 1 lb meat
5) at least 2 cups of second ingredient
6) or approximately 3-5 lbs of combined toppings

I use those deep dish pans for carb work and small electrical repair. Really handy to stop small parts from rolling away and containing any fluid spills.
But pizza is better use... Lol
PS; don't mix pans...

Adulting at its best. We had slices of cheese and Halloween candy for dinner one night last week, haha.

It was smoked cheese though. So it's fine. I built a new smokehouse out of pallets when I had covid and was off work for three days a couple weeks ago. It works frickin great.

Fall is in the air here... I usually make soup once a week. Last week was bean soup... my dad always put a bit of ketchup and hot sauce in it... I always do it now too.

Last night I made broccoli cheddar soup and had a bowl for lunch today.
