What’s for dinner tonite!

The price of any meat... or groceries in general... is just ridiculous these days.

I've had a hankering for a pot roast since the cold snap this year. I just refuse to pay the price.

Fiance has been watching copious amounts of hells kitchen lately.. and they cook up filet mignon in pretty much every episode... made me realize I don't think I've ever actually had a filet. Bought some, she cooked em up. Absolutely worth the price you pay lol. Also tried out black Angus filets, which were 5-6$ more per pound than regular crap cow filets.... not worth the extra price I don't think. There's a big difference between cheaper cuts of steak when it comes to black angus/crap cow.. didn't seem to be any difference with the filets.

"ChuckEye" is a poor mans "FiletMignon" at half the price; they grill up good & tender.

Have cows. Makes difference.

This is one of the wife's favorites. I call it left over hash because it's usually a clean out the fridge and put it in the skillet night. Tonight I made it fresh with brussels... asparagus... mushrooms... potatoes... onion... and two thin ribeye steaks.

I honestly like the leftover version better... but... even made fresh was absolutely delicious.

Yep, same here. I'm making Chili and Cinnamon Rolls for Christmas instead of what had become my traditional Christmas meal of Prime Rib. For some reason this year Rib Roast up here in the #2 beef-producing state in the country is $9/lb. on sale, but where my sister lives in Arizona (#31 beef-producing state) it's only $5.77/lb. My sister suggested making Pot Roast instead, but those are also more expensive than I'm willing to pay.

I'm making lasagna for Christmas dinner.

Some really good stuff comes out of clean-out-the-fridge night.

Second the turkey noodles. My dad makes them the best IMO. This year @thanksgiving mom made homemade noodles too. Mmmmm.

DiGiornos. I don't think you need the picture.

Worked late tonight. Time to relax with wine and pizza and enjoy the TRS calendar that came today.

The old lady did home made

And salad

Tomorrow Im making the cranberry soaked turkey and raspberry maple ham on the smokers. Hopefully I fixed the smokefire so the ham cooks on that and the turkey is going on the Traeger since that one is working correctly lately.

Egg rolls probably aren't hard to make. I used to make fresh spring rolls quite regularly. I need to do those again. Dipped in a Thai peanut sauce, they are to die for.
The woman was making those and Thai fried rice alot for a lil bit. She made pho ga a few times but that takes literally all day.
