So if you didn't read my other post about this truck....I built it when I was 15 (beams, flip kit, blocks, hangers, coils) and did the body work (shaved everything, painted gloss black) but I sold it when I was 16 for some dough. Sold it for 1500....bought it back today for 700!!! And it has a 77 302 built to the tits. Showed me receipts (bored, flat top pistons, World heads, Weiand intake) built 1234 kms ago!!! He had a kid and went to the darkside (bagging an S10). I drove it home and almost shat my pants on 3 occasions. QUICK TRUCK!

Its really dirty so ignore that...I mean REALLY DIRTY! And the box is rotten.

Dang cant beat that at all when you sold it what did it have under the hood i mean if you sold it with a v6 for 1500 and bought it back for 700 and it has a small block swap done to it now you cant beat that at all hell its like they gave you 800 and did the swap for you lol :icon_rofl::icon_thumby:

hehehe I know. I love it when guys have kids. It had a very VERY tired 2.9 in it when I sold it to him.

I just can't decide whther to put my MINT white box on the 87 or put the BEAST motor in the MINT 86. Keep in mind I am keeping the lowered suspension on whatever truck I keep and the 302 is staying with me. ADVICE PLEASE?!! And hopefully now I'll get some respect rolling in a Ford POWERED Ford RANGER! hahaha

I would get more paint and paint the white bed and swap it to the black truck for 2 reasons I HATE white vehicles and 2 it will be easier to paint the bed and install it on the black truck then swap the suspension and motor and all that to the white truck

I completly agree. Both about the white and about the box. The only other prob is the black one won't safety because of the notch and the roll pan. We can't have roll pans and they are very picky about notchs in Ontario.

Do you plan on using the truck as a daily driver or just taken it out for weekend nights or something like that. Also is the white one a ext cab? I would take the roll pan off and get a black step bumper for the back of the truck they still look decent. As far as the notch goes thats going to be a hard one to get around its not that easy to conseal it to try and get around it. Who did the notch and is there anyway to repair it when you have the bed off and just put it back to stock? Just like my 91 I just bought it wont pass NJ inspection but we have ways to get around it. How ever it will pass emissions it would just fail for stupid little things

They are both ext cabs and I was thinking of boxing the frame...I'm almost sure it will pass then. Emissions don't matterits a classic in Ontario and I was thinking of keeping both and taking off parts from tye 86 until it safties. How hard is it to remove a windsheild without breaking it. As well as a back window.

Windows aren't to hard to remove the front window you would remove the trim. i normally use 2 people for a front window use some strong fishing string and push it trough and wrap it around a pen or something on the out side and have some one do it on the inside and run it around the window to cut the glue holding it in. Normally comes out pretty easy I have never removed a back window but i would imagine it wouldnt be to hard. I would say just do the work to the black one and use the 86 as a parts truck lol

Dental floss seems like it worked too. Believe it or not... we have used bailing wire in a pinch to get the back glass out of an F-250 for a swap on the the way to the junkyard.

Frank

frank that statement used bailing wire in a pinch to get a back window out of a f250 on the way to the junk yard seems a little funny it kind of sounds like to me that yous stopped by a mall or something and borrowed someones back window :icon_rofl: my buddy actually had someone steal his hood off his truck one time at a mall.

Yes sir I got splash wheels for now and then I'm goin steelies with dog dishes... old skool kool. And I already spanked my 86 and kept up with my dads 08 GT until he hit 4th gear. It's only a 3 speed tranny so it's close to redline at 170 km/h.
