Well that was short lived...

Well I started the tear down... I'm a little scared of what I'll find... I'm hoping that once we get to the heads, I won't find any rust. Right now I got the aluminum plenum off and can see into the intake. That was a PITA as I can't believe the way Ford though it was a great idea to run millions of wires through everything... UH... it's going to be a long process as I don't have the technical knowledge and my bf is usually at work 8-5 so I'm doing it by myself until he gets home.
Gawd it's soooo dirty and not takin care of. Oil everywhere. Time to invest in some rubber gloves. It's pissing me off so badly. I was already in a bad mood starting it and then the piles of effing dog crap everywhere attracted a million flies and it smelt HORRIBLE. I need to push it somewhere else... I hate dogs... I'd pick it up but with 9 dogs... it will be back QUICK... FML....

Necessaryevil, I may need that motor. What are you askin' for it?
This painted a hilarious picture in my head.....:icon_rofl:

Not my dogs. My bf and I live with his mom and she has 8 dogs and I have one and my bf has one. So i was wrong, theres TEN. They breed stupid australian shepherds and don't have a kennel settup so yea. Very unproffecional and backyard like. I have to go find that stupid little fuel line tool befor I can proceed any further with the tear down as the fuel rail is in the way. Uhg... I just don't want to be doing this lol.

Neccesary, If I need that motor it'll be a while lol. I don't have the money for it.

train the dogs to fetch you tools as you call them out!

I can see why the dash would need to be changed out. The wiring harness controls eeverything down to the blower motor, so unless u have a buttlolad of time to do a 4.0 swap, stick w the 2.9.

I like the 4.0 in my B2, but I cussed it the entire time I was doing the swap.

Plus , from what u said, u have a 5 spd from an 87. It would not hold up behind a 4.0 for very long.

Yea, especially since I think the synchros are going bad. It grinds a little going into 2nd most the time. Oh well... I need to get dressed and start working on the stuid thing some more. I'm in a better mood right now so I may not kick it as much lol. And hopefully I can find the stupid fuel line tool in the garage. Not my garage so who knows where the hell something like that would be.
