so lately i replaced the dist cause the pip went bad it fixed the truck for about a day and then aquired a flat spot on my timing belt... replaced it and again good for a day and now i was driving down the road and it died i was still rolling and tried to pop start it, nothing so i figured i lost that spark again so i started with pulling the cap off "every ranger driver should carry a dist cap and rotor"
so after i pulled off the dist cap i checked for rotation at the dist to signify timing screwed up again and it spun so i replaced the rotor with my spare in the truck and put it back together had spark but still no difference so i popped off timing cover" yes i had all the stuff to do this on the side of the road lol
and the belt was fine no break or flat spots at this point i got really mad and slammed the hood and hoofed it home the one thing i didnt check was if my brand new belt skipped time so to recap all ignition is new even the coil.. icm.. dist.. cap and rotor... and timing belt i still have spark.. its a nice strong blue spark and still no start when cranking it sounds like the belt broke again meaning 100mph rotation any ideas fellas? tomorrow after work im going to check the time to see if it jumped thats the only thing i can think that it could be am i missin something? i have fuel... its a 2.3 5spd fi
