Well... I've started my drop!

ditto (perdy please--with rib-eye on it) :icon_rofl:

latest up-date

Take it apart the first weekend clean things up during the week put it all back the next weekend... YEA RIGHT... DREAM ON!!! I should've known! anytime I plane things out THINGS don't follow my planes! I hit many minor set-backs, some due to the weather, some due to needing to fix or replace parts that I didn't plan on. A major set-back was due to inaccurate info about the Explorer rear swap. It's not as simple as stated, it's not a simple 'bolt in swap' had I known from the start I still would have done it, but I would have been better prepared.

Anyway I can see the light at the end of the tunnel...maybe I shouldn't have said that... here's some pics

Finally finished phase 1

sorry for the delay, been busy with my daughters college graduation and doing chores that I had neglected during the drop.
I've been driving it for over a week now and no problems. It seem that I got the pinion angle right, I have no driveline vibration.

Here's a pic
Well... I've started my drop!

The Explorer swap went well except for one major hitch. You can not use the explorer lower shock mounts as stated in other posts. I fabbed some from 2" square tube and welded them to the axle tube similar to stock Ranger mounts.

If anyone would like more detains on the swap I'll gladly post them.

Well... I've started my drop!
