well ive finally had it.


when to start it today to pull it in to work on it....the starter died.
 
That sucks man....I feel your pain.

I finished my 8.8 swap yesterday and pulled it out of the shop. 200 feet later my shifter fell out of the trans.
 
I know you checked your battery first.
 
battery wire (s) are fine. im beting the starter solinoid is the issue
 
Jumping across the 2 heavy posts on the solinoid effectively eliminates it as the problem if the starter then cranks.

Don't use a tool you care about and be quick about it to limit the sparkshow. When I tested mine, I stuck it between the two, touched the one post and brought it down quickly to touch the other one. Don't doddle or it will arc.
