Welding question

Is welding both sides of a joint to achieve ample penetration, since you have an under-powered welder a bad idea? I am looking to weld some leaf perches and shock tabs on an 8.8 i'm swapping in. It is either do the above, or take it to a shop (T hate paying people to do work for me). Thanks!

Maybe I shouldn't be worrying so much. These welds look wimpy(for their purpose), and I've wheeled the hell out of my 8.8 with no problems.

While it isn't a bad idea to weld both sides, I'd rather take it to someone to have to done right considering what it is. The shock tabs I wouldn't worry as much, but spring perches I'd pay to have them done right for safety's sake.

welding both sides would work if your welder was strong enough but yours isn't. Like we said in the other thread you need a bigger welder or to pay someone to do it. Paying a pro is much cheaper then the bill for the damage when bad welds break.
