So, as the title says...

When i'm fully stopped and in 4x4 i can feel a vibration and hum coming from the drivetrain area (tranny, transfer case, i'm not sure)

I guess it could do with the flywheel and torque converter some how? but why would being in 4x4 affect that?

For what its worth, i also get a hum while doing anything over 40km/h in 4x4.

It might be normal.

When in 4x4 there is a 2nd path (front axle & driveshaft) that any engine/transmission vibrations can travel down, so you're probably just feeling/hearing that.

As long as the fluids look good and are at the proper level (t-case and front axle), it's probably nothing to be worried about.
