Yo,
On my 94', 2.3l, 5spd, whenever I am coasting down in gear, there is what i call a "whirring" sound. If I take it out of gear, the noise goes away. But I don't think it is the engine, the noise doesn't sound like it is that far forward.
If i give it a little gas so my RPMs are matching the tranny, or when the driveline is under power from the engine, the sound goes away.
I will also sometimes hear the sound if I lugg the engine (which I know I shouldn't do). Anybody have any ideas? Thanks!
