Dad's got a 1998 Mazda 3.0 that all of a sudden while driving had the ABS light on the bash com on and than the speedometer stopped working and than the check engine light came on.

WTF?

Truck seem to still run fine???

Help

same thing happend to my friend, and unfortunatly i cant remember the name of the part. its a sensor i beleive i just cant remember which one. sorry. if it is what im thinking the truck will still be fine, just youll have lights on and no speedo, im pretty sure my buddy hasnt gotten his fixed yet and his truck is still fine.

Most likely the rear axle ABS sensor. Theres only one and it located on top of the diff housing.

Rear ABS/Speed sensor located on top of the diff pull it out bet you'll find metal shavings on it wipe them off and put it back in see if that doesn't fix your problem if it doesn't pull the diff. cover and check your tone wheel for wear or something wrong, if that checks out ok you can either go buy a new sensor or hook up Multi meter in AC volts one lead on each wire spin the tires and check to see if the sensor produces voltage if it does then there is probably a wire bad some where.
