I was driving my '99 Ranger 4x4 to work today and I stopped by the store to pick up something to drink before I dragged my half awake body into the guitar shop. Well, I started up my truck and threw it in reverse and looked back before I started to back up and I here "REEEEEEEEEEEYYYOOUU" then the torque converter engaged. I drove it behind the shop and it did it two more times and then it stopped. I was kinda puzzled by this. It only did it a couple of times and I have not heard from it again. What you think it may be. My truck is a '99 with the 4.0L OHV, 5 speed auto, auto 4x4, 79,000 miles. The trans has always run like a top without any troubles.
