will post tails asap

nice those tails are awesome and not too flashy for an off road vehicle. likem!

Hey. What did you get the explored leafs out of? By just swapping the leafs and removing the blocks still keep the ride height the same?

i got the explorer leafs out of an explorer....

actually the springs aren't much different than my stock ones, i was not impressed... they are a little stiffer, but not by much i took the block out, and put belltech 6400 shackles in, though i am changing the mounting point on the shackles, and putting the blocks back in pretty quick, as i need to limit the flex on it my truck, due to my fenders and tires getting chewed up

Anyone know how to make bigger bump stops for the rear of these trucks?

looks like fancy expensive tail lights to break out on a trail.. lol

nice rig tho

i stay away from things that do body damage, like trees... our trails are quite wide up here, and you're not driving anywhere but the trails...

oh, and thanks for the compliment, sorry i missed it in the last post...

ok, an update, since i did the lift, and tires, my rear tires have been hitting the flares and actually bending the box sides... not wanting to do any cutting, nor lose my flares, i decided it was time for bump stops... my first thoughts were to put my 3" blocks back in, as they have bump stops on them, then just change which spot of the shackles i use (belltech 6400) so the shocks don't over extend...

well, i went to do this, and luckily, i didn't need to... i pulled the rear u-bolts off, and had an epiphany! i could put the blocks on top of the spring, this way i don't have the axle wrap issue, and flattening of the springs... looking at it, it wasn't going to work as i had planned, because of the center bolt on the springs, so i flipped the blocks upside down, and placed them between the plate that the nuts on the u-bolts go into, and the spring, the bump stop is upside down and sitting funny on the rubber frame side of the stop, but that will be fixed later...

i tried to flex the truck out to see how it would line up, but sadly, i didn't have a tall enough jack...

however on sunday i was at a 4x4 training session, and managed to totally flex my truck out, this pic was taken with the rear passenger side tire off the ground by about an inch or so... belltech's and expo leafs make for a decent amount of flex!

she still needs a name... i'm thinking maybe Flake? as in Christian "Flake" Lorenz

ok. i think i've got a name picked out for her... as the runs i keep going on, turn into "3 hour tours" i think i'm going to call her the SS Minnow... what do you guys think?

i'm toying with the idea of having vinyl graphics made that say SS Minnow for the rear window, along with a qr code to page 1 of this thread... already have the qr code, think i'll get it white blips cut over nothing, so it's transparent on the black windows...
