So... After playing in the mud all weekend, I've become very angry towards my fkkkkkng engine. Every time I bounced in a rut or made the slightest splash, it got wet and started missing like crazy. I went through a can and a half of WD. I've always hated this about my 4.0, and since I put the Accel coilpack its been twice as sensitive to water.

Has anyone found a solution for this, or any good ideas, or old school tricks.
I thought about upgrading to a set of Livewires, but I think I'll still have the same issue of the coil being wet too...

Yes, my inner fenders are fine, and it has good wires on it now.

Never had this issue with my 91...and its been up to the windshield in water crossings many times. Stock wires/coil....stock everything. Just a cowl snorkle.

Seriously? All 3 of my 2.9s and both my 4.0 have done it to me. I've just assumed it to be a v6 rbv thing....

What about just a heavy coating of dielectric grease on the connections?

I put a whole bunch of it in my wires when I changed the coil and plugs.

When it was on the road last year, before the rollover, it even did it at the carwash. But not in the rain.
